Mike Reardon, Head Football Coach -- Quarterbacks

Mike Reardon is entering his second year as the Head Coach of the Mesquite Wildcats. Prior to coming to Mesquite, Coach Reardon was the head coach at Scottsdale Saguaro.

Coach Reardon's resume includes coaching at both the High School and collegiate levels. While coaching at Colorado State University, Reardon coached the offensive line for one season and the defensive secondary during his second year. At the University of New Hampshire, he was in charge of the running backs.

Beginning his career at the high school level, Coach Reardon coached basketball, baseball, wrestling, and track as well as football in Utah and California. His first head-coaching job was the baseball coach at Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. From there, he moved over to Cottonwood High School as the Head Football Coach before moving to Gilbert Highland in the same capacity from 1998-2001.

Coach Reardon has a B.A. degree from Weber State University and an M.A. in Education from Colorado State University. He has a teaching background in Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, and Strength Training.

Coach Reardon and his wife Kathy reside in Mesa. Coach has a daughter Kristin and a son David, both living in Salt Lake City. His special joy is his two granddaughters, Taylor Marie and Elle Rose.

The people that helped to shape Coach Reardon's life are: his Mother, who taught him to stay positive, his high school Coach Dean Stringham, Larry Harrison who taught him how to coach, and Dr. Louie Long, who gave Coach Reardon his first Head Coaching position and taught him organizational skills.

Doug Vincent, Defensive Coordinator -- Linebackers

Coach Doug Vincent is beginning his second year as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator for Mesquite High School. He played football in junior college, high school and little league, and he is in his 20th year of coaching football as well other sports. Doug has been married to Angela for over 20 years. They have two sons-- Zeke and Hayden. He graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Exercise and Sport Science. In Doug's spare time, he enjoys woodworking and being with his family.

Ryan Freeman, Assistant -- Defensive Line

Coach Ryan Freeman is beginning his first at Mesquite High School and his 5th year coaching and teaching in the state of Arizona. He was a three year letterman at Hamilton Township High School in Columbus, Ohio and he attended Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio on a Presidential Academic Scholarship. Ryan competed in both Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. He was a four year letterman there and holds the school record for Indoor Discus. Coach Freeman’s family still resides in Ohio and he will also act as Mesquite’s new Head Track Coach.

Jared Baker, Varsity/JV Assistant

Coach Jared Baker is entering his second year as an assistant coach. He played football at Mesquite High School and was a three-year starter on the varsity playing both sides of the ball. He was a captain on the football team and received All-Region honors for playing linebacker. Jared played Rugby for team USA during high school and has coached it for two years as well as wrestling and Lacrosse after he graduated. Currently, Jared is attending CGCC and in his spare time likes to be outdoors and play rugby.

Bryce Kapr, Freshman Head Coach

Coach Bryce Kapr is entering his second year as a Freshman assistant coach. He played football at Mesquite High School and was a two-year starter on the varsity. He also played football for one year at Wayne State College in Nebraska. Bryce recently got into coaching football last year, and began at the Pop Warner level. He has a dog named Patrick, named in the memory of Pat Tillman, who has had a huge influence on his life.

Beaux Kapr, Freshman Assistant

Coach Beaux Kapr is entering his second year as a Freshman assistant coach.  He is a former All-State defensive back and alumnus of Mesquite High School, class of 2004. Beaux red-shirted in the football program at Wayne State College, and played football for one year at Eastern Oregon University. He is currently going to school at both ASU East and Chandler-Gilbert CC in hopes of attaining his nursing degree. He is looking forward to working with the Freshmen team and helping build Mesquite High School into a Fiesta Region power.

David Marsh, Freshman Assistant

Coach David Marsh is beginning his first year coaching at Mesquite High School. David attended Scottsdale Community College before enlisting in the Marine Corps in the summer of 2003. Following completion of specialty training, Coach Marsh was then stationed at Cherry Point, NC, which included many different positions including Military Police, Instructor, Accounting, Purchasing and Contracting. In the summer of 2005, David started playing for the Cherry Point rugby team, which included several tournaments and state tournaments along the East Coast. In the spring of 2007, David then moved down to Camp Lejeune, NC for further training for a tour in Iraq. In August of 2007, David deployed to Iraq in a provisional infantry unit for a seven month tour. Upon return from Iraq, David spent several weeks in North Carolina before returning home to Arizona to begin coaching at Mesquite High School.
